When it comes to playing the game of "Oops, I Injured Myself," we've seen it all—from the minor league to the major surgery playoffs. Picture this: you start with a slow-motion injury that sneaks up on you like a ninja. It all begins with a tiny soft tissue issue that heals faster than a superhero. But on the other end, you've got the grand finale where surgery takes the spotlight. We call this the "Slow Onset Degenerative Change" saga. It kicks off when you decide to give your back or knee a vacation from proper usage, and boom! Inflammation sets up camp. That's when physio and advice swoop in like superheroes to kick inflammation to the curb. As the plot thickens, your muscles and tendons join the drama. Eventually, even your cartilage decides it's time for a dramatic exit, and years later, your bones might throw in the towel, demanding surgery.
